Pasquetta del Rugbista

Un lunedì dell’Angelo, all’insegna dell’amicizia, del sano divertimento e dell’ottima cucina è stato quello organizzato dai soci della “Rugby Old Trotters Club” di Anzio. Circa un centinaio fra
giovani leve e over 35 del rugby anziate, unitamente ai loro familiari e amici, hanno trascorso insieme la giornata di Pasquetta, come lo spirito rugbistico insegna. Già di buon’ora, i soci della
Old Trotters, hanno iniziato la preparazione delle pietanze e delle zone di accoglienza. L’amore per il Rugby unito ad una gran voglia di stare insieme agli amici e l’impeccabile organizzazione,
hanno permesso a tutti gli intervenuti di trovare, al loro arrivo, tutto pronto per trascorrere nella maniera ottimale la giornata anche a dispetto delle condizioni metereologi- che non delle
migliori.
La mattinata è trascorsa fra partitelle a rugby (disputate da formazioni di giovanissimi e non, fra incontri tra padri e figli) e giochi all’aria aperta, sino al momento del pranzo a base di
pesce e carne arrostita, accompagnati da bruschette, vino e birra, così come vuole la migliore tradizione pasquale, per poi riprendere, nel pomeriggio e sino a sera. Questa “prima Pasquetta del
Rugbista”, ha detto il Presidente della Rugby Old Trotters Club, l’architetto Daniele Impallara, è frutto del lavoro e dell’impegno profuso da tutti noi per lo sviluppo di questo meraviglioso
sport, della coesione creatasi con i ragazzi e soprattutto con le loro famiglie che ci hanno accordato la loro fiducia e soprattutto ci affidano i loro figli. Tra le varie attività poste in
essere dall’Associazione “Rugby Old Trotters Club”, mi preme evidenziare quella che l’8 maggio p.v. affronteranno gli over 35, infatti la squadra rappresenterà il rugby anziate alla 9^ edizione
del prestigioso Torneo Internazionale Old città di Rovigo, che appunto si svolgerà nella città veneta e che oltre noi, vedrà la partecipazione di altre 24 società sportive provenienti da tutta
Italia. Ora stiamo analizzando la possibilità di poter organizzare, prima della pausa estiva, il “Rugby Day 2010”, una giornata dedicata interamente a questo sport che vuole essere una vetrina
sulle caratteristiche del rugby e della nostra società.
La giornata, come già avvenuto negli anni scorsi, sarà divisa in due fasi, quella mattutina/pomeridiana che trascorrerà fra partite di rugby che vedranno impegnati tutti i nostri atleti, dai
piccolissimi under 8, per poi continuare con gli under 14 e 16 per passare poi alla selezione dei giocatori della over 35, e quella serale che prevederà la cena a base di ottimi piatti tipici,
intervallati da intermezzi musicali. Il gioco del rugby, proprio per le sue origini e caratteristiche, è legato molto al concetto di amicizia, basti pensare che per ogni giocatore di rugby, ogni
partita non viene mai giocata contro un avversario, ma con un avversario e questo la dice molto lunga su questo sport.
Per terminare, vorrei ringraziare tutti gli intervenuti alla giornata e, in particolare gli amici della Sezione “over 35” che hanno organizzato, in modo impeccabile, questa ricorrenza.

One Easter Monday,
about friendship, great fun and excellent cuisine has been organized by members of "Old Trotters Rugby Club of Anzio. About
a hundred of young talent and over 35 rugby elderly, together with their family and friends, spent the whole day of Easter, as the spirit of rugby teaches. Already early in the morning, members of the Old Trotters have started the
preparation of meals and reception areas.
Love of Rugby together with a great desire to spend time with friends and impeccable organization, allowed all participants to find upon their arrival, all ready to spend the day in an optimal
manner even in spite of weather- not the best.
The morning was spent between rugby practice match (played by young and formations, including meetings between fathers and children) and outdoor games, until the lunch of fish and roasted meat,
served with bruschetta, wine and beer, as dictated by the best tradition of Easter, and then resume in the afternoon until evening. This "first Easter of rugby," said the President of the Rugby Club Old Trotters, architect
Daniel Impallara, is the work and commitment from all of us to develop this wonderful sport, the cohesion created by the boys and especially their families who gave us their trust and especially entrust us
with their children. Among the various
activities carried out by the "Old Trotters Rugby Club, I wish to demonstrate that on 8 May next
address the over 35, it will represent the team rugby senior at 9th edition of the prestigious International Tournament Old town of Rovigo, precisely what is held in the Italian city and beyond
us, will involve 24 other clubs from all over Italy.
Now we are analyzing the possibility to organize, before the summer recess, "Rugby Day 2010, a day dedicated entirely to the sport who wants to be a showcase of rugby on the characteristics of
our society.
The
day, as was done in previous years, will be divided into two stages: the morning / afternoon to spend between rugby matches that will be engaged all our athletes, from small under 8, then
continue up to age 14 and 16 for passing then the selection of players over 35,
and one that will provide the evening meal of typical dishes, interspersed with musical interludes.
The game of rugby, because of its origins and characteristics, is related to the very concept of friendship, just think that for every rugby player, every game is never played against an
opponent, but with an opponent and that speaks very long about the sport.
To end,
I would like to thank all the speakers for the day and, in particular friends of the Chamber "over 35" who have organized impeccably, this anniversary.
